Train to Teach with the Arthur Terry National Teaching School
Thursday November 2nd at 6:15pm sees the Arthur Terry National Teaching School hold its Train to Teach Open Evening. The evening is aimed at graduates and career changers who are considering applying for teacher training in schools across the West Midlands. In order to continue to recruit the highest calibre of graduates, several financial incentives are in place for 2017-2018. These include £25k bursaries for Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Computing trainees with a 1st and other incentives, ranging from £3k – £25,000, for teachers with other degree classifications in Primary, English, History, Geography, D & T, Biology and Languages.
Recognised by Ofsted for the ‘Outstanding success of leaders and managers in establishing good training’, Arthur Terry National Teaching School currently has over 50 training teachers being developed by specialist Learning Coaches, in over twenty five primary and secondary schools within its alliance. With good teachers being in demand, the majority of last year’s cohort have secured jobs in schools that are part of the Arthur Terry Teaching School Alliance. Many of our recruits are in a position of leadership within two years due to the wide range of Professional Development and leadership opportunities offered by the Teaching School. The average starting salary for teachers in England now stands at £24,200.” Please visit www.atnts.com or contact Jo Ann Murphy on 0121 323 1128 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
