Macmillan Coffee Morning

Friday 29 September saw our Sixth Form led by the Sixth Form Council raising money for this worthwhile charity through their Great Bake Sale. Students, staff and parents were encouraged to provide cakes for this annual event which were then sold in the Sixth Form Centre last Friday morning.

There was also a Bake Off Competition for anyone to enter with the judges being Sam Brown, Lucy Bryan, Aaliyah Collins and Chloe Bushell who all enjoyed taking part in the taste test! It proved very difficult to choose between the fantastic entries but in the end 1st place was awarded to the mother of Caroline Marriette with her colourful Rainbow Swirl Cake, 2nd prize went to Mr Hussain for his cupcakes and 3rd prize was won by the mother of Chloe Harris with her chocolate crunch.

Many thanks to all our worthy competitors and a huge thank you to Mr Hussain who donated lots of Macmillan themed cupcakes and also the large Macmillan themed Victoria sponge which was raffled and won by Mrs Lockley, who generously shared it with other members of staff.

The Sixth Form would like to thank Mrs Sharp and Mrs Steenton for all their help. We are delighted that £218 was raised for the Macmillan cancer charity.
