Sociology is a popular choice for many students at both GCSE and A Level. Students study the world around them and conduct their own sociological research. Students have an opportunity to attend exam board conferences and other extra-curricular activities.
Students develop their knowledge of key social structures, processes and issues. Students learn about a range of topics, including Families, Education, Theory and Research Methods, Beliefs in Society and Crime and Deviance.
Most students studying sociology have gone on to university to study a wide range of subjects mostly connected to the social sciences.
